About Our Prices
“$225 dollars?! That’s expensive!”
Our prices may seem high, and that is mainly due to the high cost of wool. High quality materials just cost more. We consciously select high quality, natural fibers, and only use a small percentage of synthetics in blends where stretchiness is called for in a specific pattern.
Also we spend a lot of time and care crafting each item by hand. Sometimes, we don’t even charge for the labor to make an item — or if we do, it’s at an *extremely* reduced rate. That’s because we want to offer products at a price point that doesn’t exclude anyone from buying something even small. We’ve all had those days where enveloping ourselves in something that was handmade with love can make a real difference to our state of mind. This is the alchemy we are aiming for!
Other factors at play… Tariffs are now pushing the cost of wool even higher, so it’s probable that our prices may have to increase in the near future to keep pace.
But, sometimes, items are priced on the high side because we are just so chuffed with how something turned out (like the handwoven wall hangings made on a loom) that we aren’t quite ready to part with them yet. Ha! (Yes, detachment is a work in progress…)
We hope you can find something in our shop that meets the sweet point of being in your budget and meeting your heart’s content.
