Experience: Beginner — must know how to knit and purl

Keep your favorite baby (human or fur baby!) warm this winter, snuggled in a cozy blanket handmade by you! In this 2-hour class, we’ll cast on and get you on your way knitting and purling. Depending on the size of the blanket and your individual knitting speed, we may not finish the project in the class, but you’ll leave knowing how to finish your baby blanket at your own pace.  We’ll practice binding off on a sample swatch that you can take home with you for reference. Create a treasure that will last a lifetime!

Required Supplies:

• Circular Needles US Size 11 or 13 with 12”-16” cable 

• 2-4 balls or cakes of Bulky or Super Bulky yarn (if skein or hank, wind into a ball or cake before class). -note: Mystic has a ball winder and they are happy to wind your yarn for a fee! Reach out to Mystic if you would like this.

• Needle stoppers (that fit US Size 11 or 13 needles)

• Optional: Stitch markers (that fit US Size 11 or larger circumference)

• Optional: Scissors 

• Optional: Tapestry needle (with wide enough eye to thread Bulky or Super Bulky yarn)

• Optional: Knitting kit bag to hold your knitting supplies
